Maverick Market
Maverick Market is our own school coffee/gift shop! It sells not only hot and cold drinks but also school clothing, accessories & school supplies. Students can sell their own creations and products as well. If you have something you'd like to sell in the Market please see Mrs. Seely or ask anyone working there how to get involved. The Maverick Market is open to all students at Charles Spencer!
The Charles Spencer GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) Club
The Charles Spencer GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) is an organization for students that consists of both students and teachers. We meet weekly, with the ultimate goal of making the Charles Spencer environment as inclusive as possible. The club gives students an outlet to feel welcomed, express themselves and their concerns, and to learn. Our vision for the future is that the club becomes student driven with teachers there as supports and not necessarily leaders. These students leaders will learn to advocate for themselves, learn about LGBT issues, and work towards educating the Charles Spencer family on these issues.
Interact Club
Interact gives students the chance to make a real difference while having fun. Interact has a membership of over 250,000 youth in more than 11,000 clubs worldwide. Every Interact club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Every Interact club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.
Clubs meet at least twice a month and are sponsored by their local Rotary club.
Interact club members:
- Serve their local community
- Connect with community leaders
- Develop leadership skills
- Reach out to communities in need
- Make international connections
- Discover more opportunities to connect with RYLA, and Youth Exchange

MESS Club
MESS (Maverick Environmental Stewardship Students') Club is a group of students interested in working with environmental based projects. This year students will be operating and maintaining a rainbow trout hatchery raising 75 rainbow trout from eggs to fish which will be released into a lake. Students also will be promoting water use reduction, by refurbishing barrels into beautiful rain barrels to collect roof top rain water. See Mrs. Drummond for more information.
