Indigenous Graduate Honouring

First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Graduates are invited to a special day to honour their success! Held in June, this annual event is in addition to our school's traditional High School Graduation Ceremony.

Students must register to attend the event by contacting our school's Indigenous Liason or emailing indigenous@gppsd.ab.ca.

Families are invited to come to support their graduates on this special day.

2025 Graduate Honouring Ceremony

GPPSD Graduates, who have self-identified as First Nation, Métis , or Inuit, are invited to participate in:

Indigenous Graduate Land-based Experience Day
May 13
Camp Tamarack
8:30am – 3:00pm

Spend the day on the land at Camp Tamarack with the Indigenous Education team, local knowledge keepers and Elders. Experience traditional teachings and cultural activities. Bussing, snacks, and lunch will be provided. 

GPPSD Indigenous Cultural Celebration with Indigenous Graduate Honouring

6:00pm – 8:30pm

The GPPSD Indigenous Education Team is hosting a cultural celebration to kick off National Indigenous Peoples’ History month. Indigenous Graduates will be honored as a part of this special night. This evening of cultural dance, music, and connection is open to all members of the community.
